Thousands of 'American Idol' hopefuls turn out in East Rutherford

Thousands of ?American Idol? hopefuls lined up early Monday at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford.

The show?s producers are looking for contestants for sixth season. People have 20 seconds to sing before judges decide if they are Hollywood material.

One of the show?s coordinating producers says the crowd gathered at the Continental Airlines Arena could be one of the biggest ever to turn out for auditions.
