Officials subpoena ex-Newark mayor's city-funded credit card statements

It appears there could be some fallout from former Newark Mayor Sharpe James? recent trip to Rio de Janeiro. James' camp says he went on city business. However, Monday afternoon federal and state officials handed down subpoenas for his city-funded credit card statements. The subpoenas come after reports that James racked up tens of thousands of dollars in charges at taxpayers' expense.James, who is still a state Senator, released a press packet full of letters and e-mails from state officials and officials from Brazil regarding the importance of his trip and why he went.
