A senior state official tells The Associated Press that Governor Jon Corzine will tap his chief counsel, Stuart Rabner, to replace Zulima Farber as attorney general. Before being tapped as Corzine's chief legal adviser, 46-year-old Rabner headed the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney's office in Newark. He supervised 100 attorneys and staff who prosecuted terrorism and corruption cases. Rabner graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School and summa cum laude from Princeton University. Farber announced her resignation last week, after a special prosecutor released a report saying she violated state ethics laws by going to the scene of her boyfriend's traffic stop in May. Her last day will be August 31.
