Life and death of World Trade Center celebrated in pictures

(09/06/06) FREEHOLD ? Two local photographers are using dramatic pictures to commemorate the five-year anniversary of 9/11.

A photo exhibit at the Western Monmouth campus of Brookdale Community College displays the works of Veronica Yankowski and Gary Gellman. With portraits in color and black and white, Yankowski?s pictures depict the day?s tragedy. Gellman?s work highlights a different focus, concentrating on the pre-9/11 grandeur of the World Trade Center skyscrapers.

The September 11th attacks claimed the lives of 705 New Jersey residents. The exhibit runs through September 20.
