New Jersey photographer who took famous 9/11 picture recounts his experience

The famous image of the three firefighters hoisting an American flag on 9/11 is an image that has raised more then $10 million for 9/11-related charities.

Thomas Franklin, the photographer who shot the picture says much of September 11th, 2001 is a blur. He says subduing his emotions to perform the task at hand was not easy.

Franklin says the famous image was the last shot on his camera. He says he was running out of film and decided to take one last look at ground zero before he left. This shot was the last image he captured.
