Minivan mows down four people just before crashing into Paterson building

Four people were hit from behind by a minivan in Paterson Thursday, just before the vehicle crashed into a two-story apartment building.A witness, who works in the area, says the accident happened just across the street from an elementary school on Trenton Avenue. Two adults and two children who were on the sidewalk were hit, according to the witness. Another person who saw the accident says the van's accelerator may have gotten stuck.

News 12 New Jersey has confirmed the two children struck were walking home from P.S. 25. The five people involved in the accident, including the driver, were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital.
