Cat burglar a menace to Nutley neighborhoods

Nutley police stepped up the search Wednesday for the brazen burglar who has five homes in just days. The robber is being referred to as the cat burglar because they have entered each house without detection.

Cat burglar a menace to Nutley neighborhoods
Nutley police stepped up the search Wednesday for the brazen burglar who has five homes in just days.
The robber is being referred to as the cat burglar because they have entered each house without detection. Homeowners say they slept through the robberies. Police say so far this thief or thieves have gotten away with more than $5,000 in cash, a flat screen TV and other valuables.
Officials in Nutley are advising residents to securely lock their windows and doors before going to bed. Homeowners are also advised to keep their house well-lit throughout the night and lock ladders and chairs in their garage.
