Three men have been arrested and charged in what police say was one of the most horrendous crimes in Newark this year.
U.S. Marshals worked with Newark police to track down 23-year-old Raheem Clay and 21-year-old Laquan Jackson at a relative?s home in Indianapolis. Clay and Jackson are two of the three men charged with shooting five people, killing three and then setting fire to the crime scene in Newark. John Wessells, 24, of Newark is the third suspect. He is being held in Essex County Jail.
Clay and Jackson are charged with three counts of murder in the deaths of 42-year-old Sandra Bellush of Newark, 19-year-old Erick Jackson of East Orange and 15-year-old, Brielle Simpkins of Elizabeth. They are also charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon and conspiracy.
