Hackensack cops arrest juvenile carjacking suspect in Bloomberg employee assault
Hackensack police have arrested a 17-year-old girl in connection with the assault and carjacking of one of New York City Mayor Bloomberg's (R-NY) employees.The driver of the 2001 Lexus was in Hackensack Wednesday to pick up the mayor?s housekeeper when police say the teen approached him. Police say moments later a male, who is still at large, jumped into the passenger seat and punched the driver in the face. After a scuffle, police believe the pair of carjackers sped away. Police found the abandoned vehicle about two hours later in Fair Lawn. The girl, whose name has not been released because she is a juvenile, was described as a recent runaway. Police say she had been reported missing days earlier. The teen was charged with aggravated assault and carjacking. She was also charged with theft because a briefcase, cell phone and digital camera belonging to Bloomberg's employee are still missing.
