Senate hopeful Kean bashes Menendez's ethics during Elmwood Park stop
Republican Tom Kean Jr. took his race for the U.S. Senate to Bergen County Wednesday. With less than two weeks until Election Day, ethics continues to be Kean's top issue in his race against Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ). Kean told seniors in Elmwood Park that corruption should be on their minds when they head to the polls since it costs people more in taxes. Kean also told residents that when U.S. troops were in harm?s way, Menendez voted against supplying them with body armor and bullets. He added that a Menendez-supported plan, which would pull most troops out of Iraq within a year, could make the entire Middle East less stable. Meanwhile, Menendez was joined by one of his Democratic colleagues in the Senate to blast Bush's policies and the Iraq war.
