High-tech system cuts wait time for Rutgers University buses

Rutgers University students can cut across campus with ease thanks to up-to-the-minute updates on where campus buses are located.
The satellite Next Bus system gives thousands of students information via digital screens, the Internet, PDAs and cell phones. Satellites track 55 buses over 10 routes at the school?s four campuses.
Student Kate Bertash says she hops on intercampus buses every day. Conrad Jorge believes the system will give him more study time rather than waiting 20 minutes at a bus stop.
