Man accused in Trenton teen's kidnapping in custody

The man accused of kidnapping a 15-year-old Trenton girl is now in police custody.

Police say Marquis Smith turned himself in Wednesday afternoon. Smith is accused of abducting the teen and holding her captive over the weekend. The victim says she was kicked and punched repeatedly and given nothing to eat. According to police, the girl managed to escape Monday when Smith allegedly left the home.

Smith now faces charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
