New Jersey residents make Memorial Day plans

As gas prices lower, some New Jersey residents are putting the pedal to the metal and heading out of town.

Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start to summer and people are finalizing their plans. Many, like Joyce Matysek, of Cranford, are staying put, while others are headed down the shore.

Tom Whipple tells News 12 New Jersey, "Everyone knows somebody who has served and many families regrettably lost somebody, and you've got to think it's something other than just a day off."
