Deal reached in Neptune graduation location

Neptune school officials have reached a deal with the ACLU over the location of its high school graduation ceremony.

Officials say Neptune Township High School has had its graduation at the Ocean Grove Great Auditorium for the past 70 years. However, the ACLU was threatening to sue over having a place of worship used for a public school graduation.

The school board has now agreed to cover religious symbols during the ceremony.

The graduation is set for June 17.
