Beachgoers continue to hit the sand

The Memorial Day weekend is over, but the heat remains.

News 12 New Jersey was at the beach today as many hit the sand during the first wave of heat this summer.

Boogie boards were dusted off, sunscreen applied, and surfboards waxed up.

The water temperature was lower than what might be considered comfortable, but complaints were few and far between as beachgoers soaked up the sun after a long winter and a month of endless rain.
