Man struck, killed on I-287 in Hanover Twp.

Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found along southbound I-287 between Route 80 and Route 10, state police officials said via their Twitter account this morning.

State police officials say a preliminary investigation suggests the death could have been the result of a hit-and-run.

Authorities had shut down two lanes of I-287 in the area of exit 39 in Hanover Township while they conducted an investigation, causing heavy delays for the morning commute.

Anyone with information is asked to call the New Jersey State Police Netcong Station at 973-347-1001.
