Supporters of school vouchers rally in Trenton

Supporters of school vouchers rallied today outside Gov. Chris Christie?s (R-NJ) office in Trenton today, hoping to make their voices heard by state leadership.

Coming in by busloads, supporters and public school reformers were hoping to convince lawmakers to pass the Opportunity Scholarship Act. The bill, if passed, trades corporate tax credits for scholarships that would benefit kids in poor districts.

According to officials close to the governor, Christie is a supporter of the school vouchers, but members of the Democratic majority say they have not made up their minds yet.
