Prosecution questions janitor accused of killing Chatham priest

Jose Feliciano, the janitor accused of murdering a popular Chatham priest, was vocal once again today in court, admitting that ?homicidal rage? led to his fatal attack on Reverend Edward Hinds.

According to Feliciano, he was having a heated debate with the priest when he picked up a steak knife before walking away. Feliciano then returned to the room because Hinds wanted to finish their conversation, and at some point, he stabbed the priest to death.

According to the prosecutors, the fact that Feliciano left the rectory and returned is a critical piece of evidence, allowing them to argue that it was a cooling-off period that could negate a passion/provocation manslaughter defense.
