AG Paula Dow nominated for judgeship
Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) announced today that he has nominated New Jersey Attorney General Paula Dow to become a Superior Court judge in Essex County.
Dow must still be confirmed by the state Senate. Christie says there can't be any dispute over Dow's nomination because she has been twice confirmed by the Senate. News 12 New Jersey learned last month of the possibility that Dow may be nominated to the position of Superior Court judge in Essex County.
In the interim, Dow will accept a position with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to help the agency cut down on waste.
Christie will nominate his chief counsel, Jeff Chiesa, to replace Dow.
