Cops: NJ man kills ex-wife, then himself after abducting kids

Police say Anthony Trapp, the man suspected of killing his ex-wife at his Old Bridge home before fleeing with his two young daughters, took his own life at a New York motel this morning. The two young girls were found safe, according to officials.
Police say the owner of Bear Mountain Bridge Motel in Fort Montgomery, N.Y. called them earlier this morning, saying a man by the name of Anthony Trapp checked in last night, asking for a room with more than one bed.
Trapp's ex-wife, Heather, was found dead at his Rose Lane home in Old Bridge yesterday. An autopsy by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner's Office determined today that she was the victim of a homicide and died from multiple stab wounds. Sofia Trapp is 20 months old and her sister, Emma, is 5 years old.
An Amber Alert had been issued in New Jersey, as well as New York. Officials have not yet announced if they walked out on their own or if they saw their father take his own life.
