Mendham officials mull limit on dog ownership

The Mendham Township board is proposing an ordinance that would limit the amount of dogs that people can keep on their property to six.

Public outcry on both sides of the issue has forced it to be tabled. The issue came up after several complaints about dogs at a house on Thackery Lane in the township.

The owner of the home which sparked the debate claims to not sell or breed dogs in the township.
