Still no verdict in Chatham priest's murder trial
Jurors broke for the day without reaching a verdict in the trial of a church janitor who is accused of killing a priest.
The jury started deliberations at 12 p.m. and wrapped up at around 4 p.m. in the trial of Jose Feliciano.
Feliciano has admitted to stabbing to death Father Edward Hinds, the parish priest of Saint Patrick's Church in Chatham.
Feliciano claims he was provoked to stab Hinds during a fight with the cleric, and that it was not premeditated murder. Feliciano is hoping for a lesser manslaughter conviction.
Deliberations in the case will resume tomorrow morning.
