Mother returns home from Iraq for Christmas

A 10-year-old girl Newton girl got the perfect Christmas present today as her mother returned home from a seven-month deployment in Iraq and surprised her during a school assembly.
Katelyn thought her mom, Army Sgt. Kimberly Pitts, was coming home next month. She says it is all she wanted for Christmas!
Katelyn had been staying with her mother's parents for the seven-month deployment. They expect to be back in Kentucky by the new year. Sgt. Pitts was in Iraq to help break down American bases during the U.S. troop withdrawal.
