Fire leaves couple homeless in Bergen County

A couple in Bergen County is homeless after a fire ripped through their home early this morning.

The fire broke out just before 5 a.m. in their Summit Avenue home.

Firefighters reportedly heard several explosions in the attic when they arrived. The fire quickly spread through the roof and to either side of the home.

Officials say no injuries were reported and everyone inside the home evacuated safely.
