Roselle firefighter dies while responding to alarm

A man who dedicated more than 20 years of his life serving Roselle has died.

Roselle Fire Department Captain Jon Young died suddenly yesterday while responding to an alarm.

Young was driving his pickup truck on Columbus Avenue when he suffered a heart attack.

Roselle fire officials say during his career, Young saved a woman from a burning building, pulled a driver out of a car that was on fire, and once waded through an icy lake to save a dog.
