Passaic Community College hosts free training program

Passaic County Community College was recently awarded a $4.5 million federal grant, which will allow Passaic County residents to attend the school's medical training program for free.

Through the program, students can learn how to draw blood, keep electronic records and work in a pharmacy. After training, students can also get help finding jobs.

Passaic County has one of the highest jobless rates in the state. The federal grant will pay for about 1,100 students to attend the college's medical training program through 2013.
