Board of Education overturns ban for 9 Wayne Hills football players

The Wayne Board of Education has decided to let the nine Wayne Hills football players accused of assaulting two students play in tonight's playoff game.

The board met last night amid heated debate over the earlier decision to suspend the teens from extra-curricular activities.

The majority of the crowd supported the suspended players, but some were critical of the board's initial decision to let them play in last week's game. Others claimed the students are being unfairly targeted.

The students are accused of assaulting two students from rival Wayne Valley High School at a party last month.

Another hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 29.
