Weather Update: Heavy rain moves in

Rain will continue overnight into tomorrow with a change of a thunderstorm in the mix. News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Michele Powers says that rain totals will be near 2-3 inches. A flood watch is also in effect for tonight through tomorrow morning.

Powers says the rain will taper off to scattered showers for the afternoon Wednesday, but they won't be as heavy or steady as the rain tonight.

Temperatures will peak early in the day for tomorrow and we'll see 50s to the north and some 60s for the southern half of the state. The winds will also usher in much colder air for late tomorrow and through Thanksgiving Day. Wind gusts up to 40 mph are expected by Wednesday night.
