Weather Update: Most creeks and rivers begin to recede

Water left behind in the wake of Hurricane Irene's deluge has rivers still running high and over their banks. However, they are slowly receding.

Hundreds of people living along the Rockaway, Raritan, Passaic and other flooding rivers remain evacuated. Most of the rivers in New Jersey have crested except for the Passaic, which is expected to crest Tuesday.News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says nearly 10 inches of rain fell in several northern parts of the state.
