Weather update: Flood warnings remain in place across NJ

Flood warnings remain in place across much of the Garden State in the wake of Hurricane Irene.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says heavy rainfall from Irene has resulted in many rivers, creeks or streams running at, near or above flood stage.

Most of New Jersey's flooded rivers are receding, but some could remain high for days to come.

Curren says temperatures are expected to dip into the upper 50s overnight. Wednesday is expected to have a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures between 80-86 degrees.
