Squatter charged with starting Camden fire
A squatter has been charged with starting afire that burned a vacant Camden warehouse.
Prosecutors say 35-year-old Tami Shipp started Tuesday'stwo-alarm fire by using a cigarette to light a mattress.
Authorities say she did it in a dispute with her boyfriend, whoalso was staying in the building. Shipp also is charged with anassault near the building on Saturday.
But authorities believe she is not connected to three biggerfires in abandoned industrial buildings in the city last month.
One of those fires has been ruled arson, and all three areconsidered suspicious.
Shipp is being held on bail of $126,000. It was not known if shehad retained a lawyer.
