Weather Update: Heat advisory in place for most of NJ

Another hot, hazy and humid day is ahead across the Garden State.

News 12 New Jersey meteorologist James Gregorio says a heat advisory is in place for most of New Jersey until later this evening.

Gregorio says high temperatures and humidity will make it feel like 100 degrees today, especially in urban areas.

The Environmental Protection Department has issued a code orangeair quality alert Morris and Somerset counties. The alert meanspollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy forchildren and those who suffer from respiratory or heart ailments.

Officials recommend drinking plenty of water and to avoid prolonged exposure outside.
