U.S. women's soccer team lands at Newark Airport after loss

The U.S. women's soccer team arrived at Newark Liberty International Airport Monday afternoon following a loss to Japan in the Women's World Cup Finals held in Germany.

Fans greeted the players and coaches at the airport. News 12 New Jersey spoke with team leader Amy Wambach, as well as Point Pleasant's Christie Rampone after they stepped off the plane.

The women's team was hoping to win their second World Cup. The U.S. women's soccer team won its first cup in 1999.
