Weather Update: Scorching temperatures continue across NJ

High temperatures and excessive humidity will sweep the Garden State again today.

A heat advisory has been issued for Camden, Gloucester, Mercer, Northwestern Burlington and Salem counties until 7 p.m. tonight.

An air quality alert has been issued for nearly all of New Jersey until late tonight.

News 12 New Jersey meteorologist James Gregorio says temperatures could hit the mid to upper-90s today in parts of New Jersey. Overnight lows will provide little relief, dipping only to the 70s.

Gregorio says temperatures are expected to be a few degrees lower tomorrow before heating back up for the weekend.
