Gov. Christie moves forward with bid to help Paterson schools

Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J) announced the next step today in a partnership with the well-known Harlem Childrens' Zone (HCZ) nonprofit group in an effort to help schools in Paterson.

Christie stood with Geoffrey Canada, of the HCZ, and announced plans to bring their type of nonprofit-based reform to cities across New Jersey.

The governor says the partnership will help students and revitalize Paterson. While not offering specifics, HCZ and the governor say the approach will include education and social programs.
