Heat and humidity doesn't have to mean a bad hair day

New Jersey is infamous for big hair, but when the heat rises and humidity strikes, bigger isn't always better.

Even News 12 New Jersey's Marci Rubin once had big hair, before she learned to tame her tresses with a flat iron. Gio Antonelli, of Capelli Hair Salon in Piscataway, tells News 12 New Jersey humidity is warm water and will just blow up the hair It's going to open up the cuticle of the hair, and blow it up and cause it to be frizzy.

For luxurious locks, Antonelli suggests using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, along with a conditioning spray made especially for your hair type. Antonelli also recommends using a blow dryer to help during humid weather as well.
