Family searches for answers after Bogota man's death

A group of volunteers had been searching for a missing Bogota man for just 15 minutes when they found his body. Police and family members had searched the area beforehand, but had come up with nothing.

Now, family members of 76-year-old Victor Portalatin are searching for answers after his body was discovered behind an old soap factory, located less than a half-mile from his Leonia Avenue home. According to neighbors, authorities had already searched the area with dogs.

Loved ones say they're wondering how thorough the police search had been. The family says initial findings from Portalatin's autopsy reveal that he probably died from a heart attack some time Sunday afternoon, so they don't believe finding him sooner would have altered the tragic outcome.
