NJ Transit train hits, kills man in Elmwood Park

NJ Transit says one of its trains struck and killed a man on the tracks in Elmwood Park today.

A transit spokeswoman says the train was heading from Suffern, N.Y. to Hoboken when it hit the man in Elmwood Park. Passengers were transferred to other trains to continue their trip.The incident caused delays of up to 60 minutes on the Bergen Line. The delays have since eased.

The person's name has not been released.
