Weather Update: Record-setting heat wave tapers off

Cooler air is making its way into New Jersey, ending a record-setting heat wave that's baked the state in recent days.

News 12 New Jersey meteorologist James Gregorio says high temperatures are expected in the 80s and the heat index could make it feel like it's in the mid-90s.

Gregorio says there's a chance of thunderstorms this evening in parts of the state.
