Gov. Christie sued over communication to Fox News head

(AP) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is beingsued over his administration's refusal to release anycorrespondence between Fox News President Roger Ailes and thegovernor or his staff.

The American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey filed suitMonday on behalf of a reporter for Gawker Entertainment LLC.

It's based on a public records request made by Gawker reporterJohn Cook in May. Cook sought any correspondence, phone records andcalendar entries from Christie's office on the meeting betweenChristie and Ailes during the summer of 2010.

The governor's office has refused to confirm whether the recordsexist and said that if they did they would be exempt from state'sopen records law.

Calls and emails sent to Fox News and Christie's office were notimmediately returned.
