Gov. Christie released from hospital

(AP) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has been released from the hospital following emergency treatment forasthma.

Christie left Somerset Medical Center at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Hewas taken there Thursday morning after having difficulty breathing.

The blunt-talking governor, who some Republicans have beentrying to persuade to run for president, was headed to a billsigning when he felt unwell.

Christie uses an inhaler for asthma and is overweight. Aidessaid Christie's EKG, blood work and chest X-ray were normal.

The 48-year-old governor told reporters as he left the hospitalthat he woke up in the morning not feeling great and his rescueinhaler didn't work as well as it normally does. He says he thoughtabout his kids and decided it would be best to go to the hospital.
