Weekend Weather: Mostly sunny skies

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for tonight, but the weather is expected to brighten up Saturday.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Michele Powers says the heat and humidity's return is only temporary. Powers says a cold front is moving towards New Jersey, which will bring much-needed relief.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to be dry, but still hot. Showers or storms are possible Monday. The rest of the week looks to be rain-free and warm.
