Gang violence eyed in Seaside Heights stabbing

Eyewitnesses to Monday night's boardwalk stabbing in Seaside Heights say a gang dispute spurred the violence.

Police say a 28-year-old Ewing man was stabbed shortly after 8 p.m. near Sheridan Avenue.

Witnesses say they saw a group of men wearing red shirts talk with a group dressed in blue before one of the men pulled out a knife.

According to Police Chief Thomas Boyd, the incident was isolated. He says Seaside Heights doesn't have a gang problem. Man stabbed on boardwalk in Seaside Heights
