Palin rolls into NJ on bus tour
Former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin rolled into the Garden State yesterday as part of her One Nation bus tour.
Palin was in Jersey City this morning, where she stayed overnight at the Hyatt Regency hotel.
She and her family went on to tour the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, where Palin said she enjoyed "seeing the beauty of legal immigrants' work ethic and love of freedom."
Yesterday, Palin made her way through Pennsylvania with stops in Gettysburg and Philadelphia, before meeting with supporters in Manhattan. The former governor of Alaska also shared a pizza dinner with business mogul Donald Trump.
The bus tour comes amid murmurs of a 2012 presidential run. Palin says she hasn't made up her mind yet and is hitting the road to meet people face-to-face and learn about their needs and concerns.
When asked if she was going to meet with Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J), Palin said Christie is probably busy and she didn't want to bug him. Her next stop is Boston.
