Teen saved from being caught in riptide over the weekend

A Neptune family whose daughter was saved after being caught in a riptide on Memorial Day is trying to track down the person who saved her life and prevented a tragic outcome.

Thirteen-year-old Raquel Cosme spent the last two days in the hospital. She's still weak from the ordeal, but she wants to find the Good Samaritan who saved her.

Raquel says was certain she was going to die. At the exact minute she felt herself going underneath the water, the surfer grabbed her, placed her on his board and brought her to safety. Now all the family wants is to thank him for his heroic acts.

The family says it has a reward for the heroic surfer and for a police officer who also helped in the rescue. They're asking for the public's help in tracking them down. If you were at Bradley Beach on Memorial Day in the late afternoon and saw anything, log onto our Facebook page and let us know!
