Wake held for fallen Newark police officer

A wake was held tonight for fallen Newark Police Officer William Johnson, who was killed in a drive-by shooting last Thursday.

Hundreds turned out to pay their respects, including Johnson's cousin Madeline Boughton, who returned from studying overseas for the service.

Boughton said she felt sad and depressed to return home for such a sad occasion. Boughton also spoke about how she'll miss her cousin's loving spirit. Hundreds of officers, family members and friends are expected at Johnson's funeral service tomorrow.

News 12 New Jersey will bring live coverage of the funeral beginning at 11 a.m.
