Nearly a dozen dogs found abandoned at Paterson home

For the second time in less than a week, a group of abandoned puppies were found in Paterson.

Paterson Animal Control officer John DeCando is frustrated and furious after his officers found the second set of puppies, abandoned at a home on Arch Street.

Seven pit bull pups, their mother and three other adult dogs were rescued by Paterson Animal Control this morning. They were in the backyard of the home with no food or water in 100-degree heat. Animal Control found out about them when neighbors called to complain.
