Pavers, landscapers try to keep cool as mercury soars

People who have to work outside for a living say the extreme heat is way too much for them.

News 12 New Jersey caught up with pavers in Sayreville who were laying asphalt for a driveway. Seal coating driveways is a hot job - even when it's not as hot as today.

News 12 New Jersey checked one of the driveways that Jimmy Snyder and Dave Gardenier of Road Runner Paving were working on. The temperature measured 134 degrees.

Landscaper Mike Mego said that he was fortunate enough to be using an electric lawnmower that helped to create a breeze.
