Body found near Ocean Ave. bridge ID'd as missing teen

The body found under the Ocean Avenue Bridge yesterday has been positively identified as 15-year-old Naisere Nelson, of Neptune.

Bradley Beach Police Chief Leonard Guida told APP.com a family friend, who is a law enforcement officer, identified the body.

The Coast Guard said it was notified about a body seen floating beneath the Ocean Avenue Bridge in Avon-by-the-Sea shortly before 5:30 p.m. yesterday.

Petty Officer Jon Lindberg said Coast Guard boats responded, but members of the ANSWER volunteer water rescue team recovered the body and took it to the Manasquan Coast Guard station.

The bridge is about 1½ miles south of Bradley Beach. That's where Nelson of Neptune was last seen while swimming with friends on Thursday.
