Ocean County officials warn that they will be cracking down on illegal fireworks this Fourth of July.
Freeholder Joe Vicari is leading the fight against illegal fireworks in New Jersey. He says part of the problem is they're a booming business in Pennsylvania and people bring them into the state.
Brick police say anyone caught with fireworks could face jail time, while those caught selling could be fined thousands of dollars and 18 months in jail.
Authorities say the best way to celebrate with fireworks is to leave it to the professionals.
